Membership Types & Fees

Personal
Graduates of a recognized library and information technology program from an accredited post-secondary institution or Small Library Operation Certificate Holders (Rural Library Training Graduates). Personal members have the right to vote, hold office, and serve on committees.$40

Student (Distance Education)
Student of a recognized library and information technology program from an accredited post-secondary institution or Small Library Operation Certificate Holders (Rural Library Training Graduates).You may be required to show proof of current registration. Student members have the right to vote, hold office, and serve on committees.$20

Student (On-site at SAIT or Grant MacEwan)
AALT is providing free memberships to students who attend the onsite library technician program at SAIT Polytechnic or Grant MacEwan University. You may be required to show proof of current registration. Student members have the right to vote, hold office, and serve on committees.$0

Associate
Persons who do not qualify as personal or student members but have an interest in library and information technology or AALT. Associate members have the right to serve on committees. May not vote or hold office.$40

Institutional
Libraries or persons who employ or who have an interest in library technicians. Institutional members have the right to serve on committees, and appoint an individual to have all other rights of an associate member. May not vote or hold office.$55

Affiliate
Associations who have an interest in library technicians. Where a reciprocal agreement exists a designated representative may vote but not hold office.$35
